About
We're a scrappy, passionate team of civic nerds who believe that understanding democracy shouldn't require a political science degree.
Jordan Alvarez
Jordan founded Middle Ground HQ in 2023 after years of frustration with the partisan noise dominating political media. Growing up in a household where political conversations felt like battles instead of bridges, Jordan became obsessed with one question: what would civic education look like if it put understanding before argument?
A first-generation college student who studied political science and journalism, Jordan has worked with grassroots organizations, student governments, and local policy groups across the country. Middle Ground HQ is the culmination of that experience.
